Douglas Hinckley, Managing Director

Douglas founded the company in October 2006 in order to provide first-class event security and close protection services.

Having served as a police officer in England for a short period, he went on to become an officer in the British Army. He served in a frontline combat unit with command of men on operational engagements, as well as establishing himself as an urban warfare and security instructor. He has also worked in the private security arena in countries as far afield as Uganda.  Douglas’s primary aim is for JCB Security Ltd to provide services of the highest standard of quality and professionalism, in all areas of the business.

Mungo Ker, Director & Operations Director, Maritime Services

Mungo spent ten years as a frontline combat officer in the British Army and has wide-ranging experience in commanding soldiers on operations, as well as creating training solutions for fledgling government security services. Undertaking six months as a national representative and instructor at the UN Peacekeeping Academy (CAECOPAZ) in Buenos Aires, he was instrumental in preparing military, police, and civilian personnel for service in conflict zones. Mungo combines his extensive security experience, developed from a first-class operational platform, with maritime expertise provided by internal and external consultants, to oversee all maritime services for the company.

Captain Paul Cook, Non-Executive Director, Maritime Services

A vastly experienced mariner, Paul completed a successful Royal Navy career that spanned 24 years and 14 ships, with three appointments as captain of frontline operational warships from 38-210m and 170-20,000 tonnes. He specialised in maritime, land, and air warfare and has particular expertise in anti-terrorist and anti-piracy techniques. His private yacht experience kicked off at the highest level as joint captain of a new 67m Feadship, bringing it through the build phase and then working with the team to turn it into a fully operational private motor yacht. Using his first-hand knowledge of operating both warships and superyachts in security challenging situations, he now adds his strategic and operational protection knowledge to JCB Security Ltd.

Mark Seymour, Company Secretary & Event Security Manager

Mark served for 22 years in a combat infantry unit in the British Army and culminated his career in the rank of Warrant Officer. Apart from his duties as the company secretary, Mark is involved with management-share of many of our larger contracts as well as overseeing many public security contracts.

Martin Price, Operations Manager, Maritime Services

Prior to joining the company, Martin spent over 20 years in the Royal Navy culminating in the rank of Chief Petty Officer, having served on board destroyers and aircraft carriers on operations throughout his career. He is an expert on maritime safety and has previous experience of operations management in the private maritime security arena. Martin is also a dangerous-goods advisor and instructor for the logistics and maritime industry and can lend his expertise to ship safety and cargo security issues.

Jonathan Holdsworth, Team Leader

Jonathan joined the company very soon after leaving the British Army, where he spent seven years in a frontline regiment. He is a RONIN graduate (Close Protection Officer) and has experience in many areas of operational security. He is responsible for much of the day-to-day management and personnel planning and forecasting for a number of our accounts.
